    As I look at the comments from non-native speakers, I see that they are not offended at all. They see her efforts as good and helpful for their language learning. In the videos that I saw, she seemed very humble as she mentioned words that she used to pronounce wrong, too. I guess I didn’t see the one that told the learners that they would sound uneducated if they didn’t pronounce just as she did.

      What teachers and trained professionals are critical of – is her belief that RP (Received Pronunciation) is the “right” accent and one learners should practice and aspire to. Blatantly wrong and out of date. You can’t “sound” educated. That is just garbage and so wrong in the world we live in today.

        When I teach English I emphasize communication over perfect pronunciation. I don’t know if it is because I live in the U.S. or because I know that nobody’s perfect. Thank you for the information.
